A gold-toned Wave Tracker with a black ana-digi dial and a green 360-degree scale around the rotating bezel. The high-resolution MIP display sits above the central hands and displays information such as tide data. Sailing terms for port, starboard, tack angle, and wind direction are distributed around the dial. The color scheme clearly distinguishes the JV3002-51E from the other models in the series without altering its regatta-oriented functions.

Materials & fit

The case and bracelet are made of stainless steel with a gold-colored finish. The case measures 42.4 mm in diameter and 13.9 mm in height, with a weight of 187 g. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the information-rich dial. The case back is screwed in. The bracelet features solid links and closes with a deployment clasp released by dual push-buttons.

Highlights

• The Eco-Drive movement U812 is powered by light, features a 360-day power reserve, and has an accuracy rating of ±15 seconds per month.
• Race Mode counts down to the start and automatically switches to a stopwatch when the countdown finishes. The stopwatch measures 1/100th of a second for up to 24 hours.
• The Tide Graph shows hourly tide forecasts, high and low tide, as well as changing direction. Moon phase and sunrise or sunset times can be displayed for 203 locations.
• The water resistance is 20 bar, a level that, according to the standard product format explanation, includes swimming and diving at shallow depths.

• The rotating bezel is used as a slide rule for angles, bearings, and selecting sailing courses relative to the wind.
• World time covers 43 time zones. Two alarms, a perpetual calendar, a 99-minute timer, and automatic hand correction are also included.
• The MIP display has backlighting, while separate indicators show remaining energy and the intensity of incoming light.
